How to Be Alone

What is being alone with the phone or Facebook offering perpetual connectivity? What is alone in a house full of children? For me, alone is a delicious escape into Coyote's country. If, on the other hand, you experience solitude as alien or frightening, Tanya Davis offers some advice on "How to Be Alone."

  1. Wow that was a powerful video. What is alone for me, a tough question, only time I'm alone actually is when I'm hooping! And, as pointed out in the video, when I go to the gym sometimes. Living in a vehicle with someone doesn't exactly grant you much aloneness ;)

  3. Wow, great entry. Doing the 30/30 hoop challenge has really made me think about being alone - or even just disconnected. I used to have no problem focusing, and now it's hard for me not to check my phone for even just those 30minutes hooping. Real eye opener

  4. Kym, it's really hard to disconnect some times. We gain a lot through technology--connecting with friends, learning new skills, ect. But balance is important. We need those moments of solitude and stillness to internalize all we gather from others.
